About Me

I am a Full-Stack Javascript Engineer, most fluent in AngularJS (1.x), NodeJS/ExpressJS, MongoDB. More recently I have been building with ReactJS/Redux, React Native, Electron, RethinkDB, and Postgres. I've also worked with PHP, MySQL, Python, Android, and Ghost CMS customizations. I​ have experience working with and leading local and remote product teams.

I enjoy working on projects with clear and achievable goals, measurements of success, and a focus on MVP that will provide value to end-users.​ I believe it is important to find a find a balance between The Right Way™ and Getting Things Done™

At Right Brain Media I have worked on several large Single-Page-Applications driven by an AngularJS front-end, a Live Streaming broadcast/scheduling system for Reuters driven by a Node.js and MongoDB backend, a media encoding, management, and delivery platform with PHP and MySQL, which also featured analytics gathering from raw log files with python. I have also assisted with and consulted on a myriad of their smaller agency and client projects with raw Javascript, jQuery, and Cordova.

For over a year I have served as Director of Software Engineering and CTO in the efforts of hiring, training, and coordinating new staff, working with clients and partners to determine MVP and ensure deliverables, and consolidating our internal dev stack across the company's various projects.

My primary task day to day was to design customized tour itineraries and documentation for a wide range of exotic International destinations, provide customer service and sales support, and manage the bookings and accounts for upscale clientele and travel agents.

I also escorted tour groups in Africa and the Middle East as the Cultural envoy to ensure client satisfaction, and quality delivery of services by local suppliers. I also represented the company at various Trade Shows, and contributed to the creation of brochures and marketing materials, prodiving content writing and editing, photo selection and placement, and obtaining related pricing and costs for the brochure tour offers.
